Stanford is our Factory/Production Manager at Sparcraft Masts. His journey in the marine manufacturing industry began in 2010 when he started as a cleaner at Southern Spars Cape Town. Driven by determination and a strong work ethic, Stanford quickly progressed through the ranks—becoming a fabricator in 2013, gaining valuable experience in both fabrication and laminating, and later mastering routering and cutout work.
By 2015, when the aluminium division moved to Signal Crescent, Stanford was appointed Workshop Supervisor, working under the guidance of experienced mentors. There, he expanded his skills further—learning rigging, advanced fabrication techniques, and the intricacies of crossbeam spools.
In 2017, Stanford transitioned to working under long-time mentor Stephen Fisher at Sparcraft Masts, eventually stepping into the Factory Manager role upon Stephen’s retirement.
Today, Stanford leads with versatility, hands-on experience across departments, and a deep passion for the work. He is known for his strong leadership, willingness to learn, and unwavering commitment to quality. As he puts it, “I love what I’m doing, and I don’t see myself working anywhere else but at Sparcraft.”
